Baseball Great Pete Rose to Appear and Sign Memorabilia at The Art of Music at The Mirage

Former Major League Baseball player Pete Rose will be on hand to sign autographs at The Art of Music located at The Mirage on select dates throughout the month of May.

During his visits, Pete will sign autographs and take photos with fans who purchase memorabilia from the store. Rose played for the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies and the Montreal Expos throughout his career which spanned from 1963 to 1986. He also managed the Cincinnati Reds from 1984 to 1989.

MTV's O Music Awards Take Over Fremont Street Today

MTV Network has announced the location and time for its inaugural O Music Awards event in Las Vegas. According to a recent press release, the awards show honoring art, creativity, personality, technology and the migration of music into the digital space will take place on the world famous Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas. The evening's event is free and set to kick off at 11 p.m. ET (8 p.m PT) with a flash mob descending on a surprise location and an appearance by Matt & Kim.

Additional performers and guests invited to attend the new Las Vegas event include rapper Lil B, Lupe Fiasco, Rebecca Black, Foster the People, and Mumford & Sons with Edward Sharpe and Old Crow Medicine Show. Presenters include Ke$ha, Cee Lo Green, B.o.B, Wiz Khalifa, Robyn and Theophilus London.

The network also announced that the awards show will be preceded by a series of side events kicking off at 2:30 p.m. ET (11:30 a.m. PT), when Chiddy Bang member Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege starts his attempt to set the Guinness World Records title for the Longest Freestyle Rap while also simultaneously breaking the Longest Marathon Rapping record. Nominations are led by Lady Gaga and Odd Future's Tyler the Creator lead the O Music Awards with three each, followed by Kanye West, the Flaming Lips and Nicki Minaj with two nominations apiece. British Rockers Deep Purple to Perform at The Pearl with The Steve Beyer Orchestra

British rock icons Deep Purple will make a stop at The Pearl Concert Theatre at The Palms Las Vegas on June 23, 2011 with The Steve Beyer Orchestra and special guest Ernie & The Automatics.

Formed in Hertford, England in 1968, Deep Purple are considered by many to be one of the great pioneers of heavy metal and modern rock. The group incorporated a wide variety of genres into their music throughout their career, including pop, blues, rock, classical and progressive rock, and in the process, sold over 100 million albums worldwide.

Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel to host first Burlesque Wedding during 2011 Rockabilly Weekend

On Saturday, April 23rd, during Rockabilly Weekend, Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel will host its first ever Burlesque Wedding featuring a guest performance from the New Orleans Queen of Burlesque, Coco Lectric.

“This is a first for me! I hope I don't get all sentimental and start crying in the middle of my striptease. I'm so excited and honored to be a part of such a special day!” says Coco Lectric, headmistress at The Austin Academy of Burlesque.

The event is sponsored by burlesque artist and creator of the popular SchmidtySays site, the one and only Schmidty. Aside from Coco Lectric’s performance, guests will have the chance to see Schmidty herself perform a tantalizing tease routine. The wedding ceremony will be broadcast live on Schmidty’s website April 23rd, 6:30pm PST. After the wedding there will be a private reception with entertainment provided by All Events DJ, a Las Vegas entertainment coordinator that specializes in fun wedding receptions.
