Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel to host first Burlesque Wedding during 2011 Rockabilly Weekend

On Saturday, April 23rd, during Rockabilly Weekend, Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel will host its first ever Burlesque Wedding featuring a guest performance from the New Orleans Queen of Burlesque, Coco Lectric.

“This is a first for me! I hope I don't get all sentimental and start crying in the middle of my striptease. I'm so excited and honored to be a part of such a special day!” says Coco Lectric, headmistress at The Austin Academy of Burlesque.

The event is sponsored by burlesque artist and creator of the popular SchmidtySays site, the one and only Schmidty. Aside from Coco Lectric’s performance, guests will have the chance to see Schmidty herself perform a tantalizing tease routine. The wedding ceremony will be broadcast live on Schmidty’s website April 23rd, 6:30pm PST. After the wedding there will be a private reception with entertainment provided by All Events DJ, a Las Vegas entertainment coordinator that specializes in fun wedding receptions.

“Burlesque is my favorite form of art and I want to share this magical experience with the world. Pictures and video are not enough, I need the press there to make my day complete.” says Schmidty.

The 2011 Rockabilly Weekend will be held from April 21st to 24th at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Guests and attendees will have the chance to celebrate this occasion and take part in a series of parties and event programmed to run during the 2011 Rockabilly Weekend. Events include the annual Car Show, Tiki Pool Party, and Burlesque Competition, Vintage Fashion Show, and much more.
