Former Major League Baseball player Pete Rose will be on hand to sign autographs at The Art of Music located at The Mirage on select dates throughout the month of May.

During his visits, Pete will sign autographs and take photos with fans who purchase memorabilia from the store. Rose played for the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies and the Montreal Expos throughout his career which spanned from 1963 to 1986. He also managed the Cincinnati Reds from 1984 to 1989.

MTV's O Music Awards Take Over Fremont Street Today

MTV Network has announced the location and time for its inaugural O Music Awards event in Las Vegas. According to a recent press release, the awards show honoring art, creativity, personality, technology and the migration of music into the digital space will take place on the world famous Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas. The evening's event is free and set to kick off at 11 p.m. ET (8 p.m PT) with a flash mob descending on a surprise location and an appearance by Matt & Kim.

Additional performers and guests invited to attend the new Las Vegas event include rapper Lil B, Lupe Fiasco, Rebecca Black, Foster the People, and Mumford & Sons with Edward Sharpe and Old Crow Medicine Show. Presenters include Ke$ha, Cee Lo Green, B.o.B, Wiz Khalifa, Robyn and Theophilus London.

The network also announced that the awards show will be preceded by a series of side events kicking off at 2:30 p.m. ET (11:30 a.m. PT), when Chiddy Bang member Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege starts his attempt to set the Guinness World Records title for the Longest Freestyle Rap while also simultaneously breaking the Longest Marathon Rapping record. WHAT: Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art (BGFA) will showcase “A Sense of Place: Landscapes from Monet to Hockney” beginning Saturday, April 16. Organized in partnership with the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), the exhibition will showcase landscapes by artists including Claude Monet, Marc Chagall, Helen Frankenthaler, David Hockney, Sylvia Plimack Mangold, Robert Rauschenberg, Christo, Vik Muniz and many others.

For the third straight year, the best players and coaches in the National Hockey League (NHL) will join movies, sports and music celebrities in Las Vegas for the 2011 NHL Awards set on Wednesday, June 22nd, at the Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Resort and Casino.

Tickets to the 2011 NHL Awards go on sale to the public early next week. Tickets can be purcahsed online at WDIAV Tickets section or in person at the Pearl Concert Theater Box Office. Tickets include access to the 2011 NHL Awards show and the official NHL Awards Party, a cocktail reception to be held immediately following the show. Guests must be 21 or older to attend the NHL Awards Party. The 2011 NHL Awards will be broadcast live from the Palms Resort by VERSUS in the United States and CBC in Canada.

The event honors players and coaches in a series of different categories, including Top scorer for the regular season (Art Ross Trophy), perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey (Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy), Outstanding Rookie (Calder Memorial Trophy), outstanding defensive forward (Frank J. A Choreographers' Showcase began as a premiere collaboration between the Nevada Ballet Theatre and Cirque du Soleil in 2006 when the two companies discovered a way to work together that would benefit Las Vegas' local ballet company and allow the world-renowned troupe to add another action-based element to their support of the arts.

On Sunday, December 2, 2007, A Choreographers' Showcase debuted at the Treasure Island Hotel & Casino on the famous Las Vegas strip. Now in its fourth year, this critically-acclaimed production has created an avenue of growth for the local artists while providing Las Vegas with a dynamic and completely organic dance experience. In addition, the showcase has raised Nevada Ballet Theatre's visibility on the Las Vegas strip while simultaneously enabling Cirque du Soleil to further root itself in the local cultural community.

Over the last few years, the showcase has garnered rave reviews and sold-out houses in addition to significant media attention including the LA Times and LIFE Magazine. The only collaboration of its kind, A Choreographers' Showcase boasts an important education and outreach element; since its inception, over 3000 local students have received the opportunity to witness this one-of-a-kind production bringing together artists from diverse backgrounds and dance styles.

The Palazzo Las Vegas will welcome warmer weather with colorful butterfly inspired décor throughout the resort.

Bursting with bright colors and distinctive butterfly designs, guests will enjoy a charming spring atmosphere during their next visit to The Palazzo. Bright hyacinths, tulip willows, cherry blossoms, forsythia topiaries and 16-foot Amstel King Ficus trees will line the atrium waterfall while 15-foot Japanese plum blossoms and 5-foot tulips complement the lobby gardens.

An intricately designed, animated butterfly with a 22-foot wingspan will top off the décor. The butterfly will softly flap its wings and gently blink while perched amidst the ground fountains and blooming spring topiaries. The signature butterfly took three months of planning and a team of 12 designers, seamstresses, welders and engineers to create.

Rudner, voted “Best Comedian in Las Vegas” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal eight years in a row, will move her decade of headlining on the Las Vegas Strip to the spectacular 742-seat Venetian showroom beginning on Saturday, Jan. 15. Harrah's Enterprises, owner and operator of the WSOP 2010, has revealed the official schedule for the 41st annual WSOP set to kick off from May 27th, 2010 with the Casino Employees No-Limit Hold'em, and closing on November 9th, 2010 with the Main Event Table.

The World Series of Poker 2010 event schedule features a total of 57 bracelets events, including three brand new poker events ($50,000 Player's Championship Event #2, $10,000 H.O.R.S.E Event #43, World Championship, $25,000 6-Handed No-Limit tournament Event #52). The WSOP event list includes a few alterations, for example, the $50.000 H.O.R.S.E event has been substituted with the $50,000 "Player's Championship" (Event #2), featuring eight different poker games (Limit Hold'em, Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, Seven Card Razz, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball).

The foremost 5 weekends of the series (May 29-30, June 5-6, June 12-13, June 19-20 and June 26-27) will include $1,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournaments with two initial flights. In addition, a sixth schedule of events on July 1-2, will also offer the same event at the same buy-in level. The 2010 WSOP is also giving participants more than five months to register for the first WSOP event on the 2010 World Series of Poker schedule.
